Mark your calendars, Wimpy Kid fans: Book 12 of Jeff Kinney’s wildly popular cartoon series for kids goes on sale Nov. 7.

What do we know so far? The book’s cover (with a title) won’t be revealed until April 27 before fans at Carnegie Hall in New York.

But Kinney’s publisher, Amulet, has given USA TODAY a taste of things to come and a first look at promotional art. Maybe the title could be Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Come Fly Away? Or Diary of a Wimpy Kid: We Should Have Stayed Home?

According to Amulet, a division of Abrams, middle-schooler Greg Heffley and his family decide to get out of town and celebrate Christmas at a resort. “But what’s billed as a stress-free vacation becomes a holiday nightmare.”

In a statement, Kinney says, “I’ve traveled quite a bit over the last few years, and I’ve realized there’s a ton of comedic potential in airline travel. And when a family like the Heffleys is involved, the possibility of something going hilariously wrong multiplies.”

The new Wimpy Kid title is being published internationally on Nov. 7 as well, and Kinney is continuing his global tour. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the first book in the series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Nine Wimpy titles have proved their brawn by making it to No. 1 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list, including last year’s Double Down.

This spring is a busy one for Greg H. and his creator. On May 19, the movie adaptation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul hits theaters, with a new cast. On May 9, in advance of the film, Amulet will release Kinney’s The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary: The Next Chapter. And the fourth annual Wimpy Kid Month, a celebration "of all things Greg Heffley," begins on April 1.
