Miley – er, Katy Perry, what's good?

The Chained To The Rhythm singer debuted a dramatically different hairdo on Instagram Thursday, thanks in part to celebrity hairstylist/creator of "The Rachel," Chris McMillan. And we thought Perry going blond a few weeks ago was a big change.

Her fresh look is definitely giving us Miley Cyrus vibes, though Perry shared on Instagram that actress Michelle Williams was her hair inspiration.

Is Perry just being Miley?

"Let's redefine beauty, right Chris?" Perry said to McMillan in her Instagram Story as he took shears to her light locks, just inches from her scalp. Perry also revealed in her Story that her new do made her "so happy."

McMillan was also gleeful about the cut, as seen in Perry's post.

"I love it, are you kidding?" the stylist said when Perry asked for his thoughts. "I've been wanting to do this since the day I met you. Do you remember?"

"I remember," Perry assured him. "I wasn't ready."

Knowing how much Perry loves her new style, the only question left is: Should we consider this a breakup haircut?

Reps for Orlando Bloom and Perry confirmed to USA TODAY that the couple was "taking respectful, loving space" Wednesday, which left room for hope that the two might reunite. However, Perry sent a tweet Thursday, which makes their break feel more like a definitive end.

Get a life, and maybe an updated hairdo.
