Orlando Bloom dishes on nude paddleboarding, ex Katy Perry

Do tell, Orlando.

Maybe Dead Men Tell No Tales, but Orlando Bloom had plenty to say about some intimate topics in an interview with Elle UK. The actor resuming the role of Will Turner for May's Pirates of the Caribbean addressed last August's nude vacation photos and his recent split with Katy Perry for the fashion magazine.

Bloom said he was unaware that photographers were capturing his paddleboarding venture in the buff while on vacation with the Chained to the Rhythm singer.  Late-night hosts and Twitter had a field day with that story.

"I've been photographed a million times in a million ways. I have a good radar," Bloom told the outlet. "We'd been completely alone for five days. Nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything. So I had a moment of feeling free. What can I tell you? Note to self: you're never free. Ha!"

In hindsight, he acknowledged, "I wouldn't have put myself in that position if I'd thought it would happen."

During the interview, Bloom also openly spoke about his breakup with Perry, which USA TODAY confirmed in March.

The way they were.

"We're friends," he assured the reporter without uttering his ex's name. "It's good. We're all grown-up. She happens to be someone who is very visible, but I don't think anybody cares what I'm up to. Nor should they. It's between us. It's better to set an example for kids and show that (break-ups) don't have to be about hate."

It seems Bloom and his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr try to exemplify

"With Miranda, there was a sense that I don't want my son to go back through the internet where people have made up lies (about us)," Bloom said. "Miranda and I have a remarkable relationship. We co-parent really well."
