Everything Katy Perry's Met Gala ensemble looks like

Carly Mallenbaum
USA TODAY

Well that's quite a look.

Katy Perry showed off a bold red ensemble at this year's Met Gala, where she served as co-host. The singer wore a custom Margiela ensemble by John Galliano to fit the theme of the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit being feted, Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between.

Katy Perry's Met Gala look had Twitter talking.

But many on Twitter thought the look was reminiscent of other things. Here are a few of the social-media comparisons made:

The Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom also wears an all-red outfit during his songWhy So Silent.

Beetlejuice

Red veil? Red sleeves? Red layers of tulle? Yeah, Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz wears something similar.

Carrie

Fortunately, no pig's blood was used in the construction of Perry's outfit.

Game of Thrones

She had some forehead symbolism going on... possibly. Perry was also compared to Game of Thrones's Red Woman.
