Brewers parking to move faster with new system. It uses an app--and eliminates cashiers

The Milwaukee Brewers are launching a new app-driven system for parking cars at American Family Field.

Milwaukee Brewers fans should be able to park faster at American Family Field through a new system that recognizes license plates − and eliminates collecting payments at parking lot entrances.

Under the system, which debuts at the home opener on April 2, fans first will park in the stadium's lots.

Those with prepaid digital parking then will activate their parking session by typing in their license plate on the MLB Ballpark App.

Fans purchasing day-of parking, which is more expensive, will scan a QR code posted on signs in the lot and enter their license plate and payment information.

"This expedited process will help alleviate backups that often occur during peak entry times," according to a Brewers statement.

While workers will direct fans to parking spaces and help with the new process, there will no longer be people collecting payments.

The ball club is partnering with Milwaukee-based Interstate Parking Co. on the new system.

The club is the nation's first professional sports organization "to implement this technology to this scale," the statement said. “We are always considering how to improve the fan experience, and entry into American Family Field’s parking lots is a topic fans often raise,” said Brewers President – Business Operations Rick Schlesinger. “The ease of the new parking system will eliminate the need to stop and pay a cashier, which slowed ingress into the parking lots.” All parking entries remain the same with one additional entrance for season seat holders and suite holders who have gold parking. That can be accessed from Brewers Boulevard.

Stadium parking lot times have not changed and parking prices remain the same as 2023. Nor does the new system affect tailgating.

However, fans must purchase day-of parking or activate their pre-paid parking session before entering American Family Field to avoid receiving a parking ticket.

Advance parking rates range from $13 to $20, with day-of parking rates ranging from $15 to $40.
