Burglary

1 An undisclosed amount of property was stolen out of at least nine trailers at FedEx Freightways, 10613 S. 27th St., prior to 9:15 p.m. Nov. 21. Police found damage to numerous trailer latches, and the locked fence surrounding the FedEx parking area and a neighboring business was also vandalized.

2 Police responded to a report of a burglary at Culvers, 4220 W. Oakwood Park Court, at 8:05 a.m. Nov. 25. Security footage showed a male broke into the building by throwing a landscape rock through the west side doors at about 6:50 a.m. Once inside, the suspect walked straight to the office, forced the door open, grabbed a stack of paperwork and then left the business. The paperwork had no monetary value, and nothing else was reported missing.

Theft

3 Two axes, a 14-foot ladder and 11 tubes of glue were stolen from a home under construction in the 9100 block of South 80th Street between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 3:35 p.m. Nov. 21.

4 Two men shoplifted a 32-inch Samsung TV, valued at $188, at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 22. They also tried to shoplift a $97 sound bar, but dropped it when they were confronted by an employee.

5 A catalytic converter was stolen off a Honda Accord parked outside Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., between 5 and 6:45 p.m. Nov. 22.

6 A $258 Samsung Galaxy cellphone was stolen from a customer at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., between 2 and 2:20 p.m. Nov 24. The victim told police her phone was stolen after she dropped it on the floor.

7 A Vizio 40-inch TV and a blanket were stolen out of a room at the American Motel, 9335 S. 27th St., prior to 9:05 a.m. Nov. 25.

8 Two Samsung computer tablets, sunglasses, binoculars, a suitcase and change were stolen out of a locked vehicle in an underground parking garage in the 6900 block of South Riverwood Boulevard between 1 and 8 a.m. Nov. 26. The front passenger side window was smashed.

9 An LED flashlight, sunglasses and change were stolen out of a vehicle in an underground parking garage in the 6900 block of South Riverwood Boulevard between 1 and 8 a.m. Nov. 26.

10 Officer investigating a suspicious parked vehicle in the 6400 block of South 27th Street took a 47-year-old Milwaukee man into custody for possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and bail jumping at about 6 p.m. Nov. 26. Police also found stolen license plates inside his vehicle, and various credit cards, identification cards and Social Security cards that were either stolen or fraudulent.

11 A 30-year-old woman stole a green 1996 GMC Sierra from her ex-boyfriend while the two were staying at the Embassy Motel, 8253 S 27th St., between 4 and 7 a.m. Nov. 27. She also stole $60, a jacket and the motel room key. Police are trying to find the suspect.

OWI

12 A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for OWI (drug-related), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and for having an outstanding traffic warrant with the Butler Police Department, in the 6500 block of South 27th Street at about 1 a.m. Nov. 24. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and no insurance. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.

Vandalism

13 The passenger-side front window was smashed on a car at Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., prior to 9:55 p.m. Nov. 22. Nothing was reported missing.

Other

14 A 31-year-old South Milwaukee man was taken into custody and cited for carrying a concealed weapon (gun) and possession of drug paraphernalia after his vehicle was pulled over for having a suspended registration on South 27th Street and West Riverwood Boulevard at 7:45 p.m. Nov. 20. A 28-year-old male passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody for possession of a firearm by a felon and for having a valid warrant through the U.S. Marshal Service for a probation violation, and a 29-year-old female passenger was taken into custody for obstructing (giving police a false name) and for having a valid warrant with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department for possessing dangerous drugs. The two passengers were taken to jail and the driver was cited and released.

15 Police pursued a tan GMC Terrain after it failed to pull over for a traffic stop in the 2700 block of South Riverwood Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Nov. 22. The vehicle fled northbound on South 27th Street and was chased for about 3½ miles before the pursuit was terminated at South 27th and Howard. Police spoke to the owner of the vehicle, a 33-year-old man, who stated he loaned the vehicle to his drug dealer and was not driving at the time. He was cited for eluding.
