Theft

1. A man shoplifted about four purses, valued at about $80 each, at Macy’s, 5400 S. 76th St., and fled the lot in a silver four-door vehicle at about 8:10 p.m. Nov. 18.

2. A backpack containing a wallet was stolen from a student at Martin Luther High School, 5201 S. 76th St., after school hours on Nov. 18, and a credit card in the wallet was used to make fraudulent charges at several Southridge Mall stores.

3. Four adults and one juvenile were cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 5301 S. 76th St., between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.

4. Seven adults and four juveniles were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.

Assault

5. A male student was cited for disorderly conduct for punching another student in the face at Greendale High School, 6801 Southway, at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 22.

OWI

6. A man was taken into custody for second-offense OWI in the 5400 block of South 60th Street at about 3:45 a.m. Nov. 18. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.18.

7. A vehicle that was seen driving erratically while traveling north on West College Avenue and West Loomis Road flipped over at the on-ramp on South 76th Street at about 11:55 a.m. Nov. 24. The driver, a Franklin man, was taken into custody and cited for OWI (drugs).

Fire

8. Emergency personnel responded to a vehicle fire at a residence in the 5700 block of Gladstone Lane at 10:40 p.m. Nov. 23. The cause of the fire was not disclosed at the time of the report.
