A Milwaukee boy is facing multiple charges after he and five other teens led Franklin police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The boy, who was driving a stolen 2002 Dodge Caravan, eluded police in Greendale after they received a report that the teens were seen breaking into vehicles in their village.

Franklin police picked up the pursuit in their city and pursued the van for about five miles before it crashed in the 11700 block of West Woods Road at about 7:15 p.m.

The driver and the passengers ran from the scene after the crash. The driver and four of the passengers were taken into custody at Menards in Franklin. The fifth passenger was taken into custody at Country Lanes Bowling Alley, 11231 W. Forest Home Ave.

The 15-year-old driver was taken into custody for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, reckless driving causing injury, fleeing/eluding police, hit and run, driving without a valid license and obstructing.

The five passengers – three girls aged 13, 14 and 16, and two 14-year-old boys, all of Milwaukee – were cited for obstructing and released.
