1. A man reportedly stole a camera from a woman at Chick-fil-A, 5351 S. 76th St., at 12:20 p.m. Dec. 8. The woman stated the suspect gave her counterfeit $20 and $50 bills to purchase the camera and then fled in a white Toyota Avalon with a temporary license plate.

2. Six adults were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between Dec. 2 and Dec. 8.


3. A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct for physically attacking his brother inside an apartment in the 5000 block of West College Avenue at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 3.

Drug possession

4. A woman was taken into custody for possession of heroin and a probation violation after she was caught shoplifting at Walmart, 5301 S. 76th St., at about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 2.


5. A ring was reported stolen at an assisted living center in the 5600 block of Mockingbird Lane at 8:55 a.m. Dec. 4.


6. Officers responding to a report that a car alarm was sounding on a vehicle in the 4200 block of Tumblewood Lane discovered the vehicle was broken into at about 6:10 p.m. Dec. 3. A witness saw a dark-colored minivan leaving the area with its headlights off. The suspects were later taken into custody in Franklin.


7. Police responding to the principal’s concern about internet postings by a male student at Martin Luther High School, 5201 S. 76th St., took the adult student into custody for possessing a firearm on school grounds at about 12:30 p.m. Dec. 2.
