Theft

1. Police received a report a vacuum machine was broken into and cash was stolen at BP, 11931 W. Janesville Road, at 6:05 a.m. Dec. 8. The theft, which netted between $20-$30 in dollars and quarters, caused about $1,200 in damage to the machine.

Assault

2. An 18-year-old woman was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct for allegedly grabbing her mother by the face, pushing and hitting her and throwing a cup at her during an argument in the 10500 block of West Forest Home Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. Dec. 5.

OWI

3. A 27-year-old Franklin woman was taken into custody and cited for OWI and deviating from a designated lane in the 9600 block of West Forest Home Avenue at about 1:50 a.m. Dec. 6. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.15.

Other

4. Police received a report a boy was followed by a vehicle in the 11500 block of West Woodside Drive while walking home from Whitnall Middle School at about 3:30 p.m. Dec. 5. The boy told police the tan-colored vehicle with a missing front bumper followed him as he was walking, and one of the passengers jumped out and yelled at him when he got to his driveway. The boy then ran to his neighbor’s house, where his friend’s mother called police. The boy stated there were three people inside the vehicle, possibly younger teenagers, and the passenger who jumped out was a heavier-set, slightly balding white male.
