1 A 200-foot pure copper welding lead and grounding clamps, valued at $1,000, were stolen from the new Froedtert construction site at Drexel Town Square Health Care, 7901 S. Sixth St., between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and 7:40 a.m. Dec. 13.
2 Fog lights were stolen off a vehicle in the 8800 block of South Oak Park Drive between 10 p.m. Dec. 11 and 1 p.m. Dec. 12. Loss is estimated at $600.
3 A woman with two small children in tow was cited for shoplifting after she was seen taking price tags off $165 worth of clothing in the boys department, and then stuffing the clothing inside her bag at Kohl’s, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at 4:35 p.m. Dec. 17.
4 A $650 set of golf clubs and a $22 box of laundry detergent were stolen out of storage locker at Oak Park Apartments, 8828 S. Oak Park Drive, between midnight Dec. 16 and 9:25 a.m. Dec. 17. The lock on the storage unit was cut.
5 A girl was cited for battery, truancy and loitering (in and around school) after she punched another female student in the face at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 11:20 a.m. Dec. 13.
6 A woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia when police found metal crack pipes in her purse during a room eviction at Motel 6, 1201 W. College Ave., at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 17. She was also cited for prostitution for having several ads on backpage.com and for obstructing police by giving a false name, and was taken into custody for having two warrants for drugs and shoplifting.
7 A man faces a state drug charge after police found several foil bindles of crack cocaine in his possession after his vehicle was pulled over for driving too fast for conditions in the 500 block of East Conner Court at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 17. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
8 A man who caused a head-on, three-vehicle collision on South Chicago Road and East Highway 100 by traveling south in the northbound lane was taken into custody for OWI at about 9:25 p.m. Dec. 14. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.17. No injuries were reported.
9 A woman was taken into custody for second-offense OWI and was cited for driving with a suspended license in the 10200 block of South McGraw Drive at 3:35 p.m. Dec. 18. She was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.
10 A woman whose vehicle was found up on the curb in the 900 block of West Rawson Avenue after her vehicle struck a traffic sign was cited for OWI and failure to keep a vehicle under control at about 4:45 p.m. Dec. 18. A breath test indicated a preliminary BAC of 0.28.
11 A man was taken into custody and cited for OWI after he drove his SUV into a ditch in the 10300 block of South Nicholson Road at about 7:55 p.m. Dec. 18. A breath test indicated a preliminary BAC of 0.20.
12 A 39-year-old Racine man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for treatment of arm pain after his car collided with a vehicle making a left turn in the 1800 block of West Ryan Road at 9:50 a.m. Dec. 15. The driver of the turning vehicle, a 38-year-old Cudahy woman, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
13 Police received a report that a man posing as a roofer tried to talk his way inside a residence in the 3700 block of East Fitzsimmons Road at 12:50 p.m. Dec. 14. The man, who allegedly told the homeowner he was there to fix some loose/missing shingles and was persistent about wanting to come into her house, was denied entry by the homeowner. During the investigation similar incidents were reported at homes in the 3500 block of East Fitzsimmons and the 9200 block of South Annette Place. Police found the man and an alleged male accomplice at a home in the 8800 block of South Chicago Road at about 3:55 p.m., where they were both taken into custody for attempted burglary.
Oak Creek police assisted the fire department with 17 rescue calls and one fire call between Dec. 13 and Dec. 19.
