A 24-year-old Franklin man was taken into custody for attempted burglary and a probation violation for allegedly trying to break into a home in the 6000 block of West Hillside Court on Dec. 20.
A 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were cited for shoplifting after they stole $364 worth of painting supplies and tried to return them for cash at Lowe’s, 7027 S. 27th St., at about 9 a.m. Dec. 22.
Money was reported stolen out of an employee’s wallet at The Rock Sports Complex, 7900 W. Crystal Ridge Drive, at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 23.
A 39-year-old man was taken into custody for third offense OWI in the 7200 block of South Lovers Lane Road at 12:55 a.m. Dec. 22. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw after he refused a preliminary breath test.
An 18-year-old Greenfield man was taken into custody for OWI in the 9900 block of West Ryan Road at 1:50 a.m. Dec. 22. He was also cited for possession of marijuana, possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and no insurance. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.18.
A 65-year-old man was taken into custody for fourth offense OWI after he drove his black Lincoln MKZ through a snow bank while turning into a car wash on South 76th Street and West Rawson Avenue at about 4 p.m. Dec. 23. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.
A 23-year-old Racine woman was taken into custody for OWI and was cited for driving with a suspended license on West Loomis and West Ryan roads at about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 27. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.22.
Emergency personnel responded to an oven fire at Baptista’s Bakery, 4625 W. Oakwood Park Drive, at about 1:05 a.m. Dec. 21. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Officers responding to a noise complaint at Badger Mobile Homes, 6405 S. 27th St., cited two 19-year-old men and two 17-year-old boys, all of Milwaukee, for underage drinking at about 2 a.m. Dec. 25.
A 53-year-old Milwaukee woman was found dead inside a room at the Skyway Motel, 8361 S. 27th St., at 12:35 a.m. Dec. 26. At the time of the report it was believed the woman suffered from a possible drug overdose. The death is still under investigation.
