1 Three batteries were stolen off a snorkel boom lift at a construction site in the 10500 block of South Oakview Parkway prior to 9:20 a.m. Jan. 12.
2 About 400 feet of electrical power cord, valued at $5,000, was stolen at CG Schmidt, 7901 S. Sixth St., between 3 p.m. Jan. 14 and 8 a.m. Jan. 16.
3 A man shoplifted about $511 worth of tequila and vodka at Meijer, 171 W. Town Square Way, during four separate incidents between 1:40 a.m. Jan. 7 and 11:45 p.m. Jan. 9. During each incident, the man, described as a very tall, slim black male with short black hair, concealed the liquor inside a gym bag and backpack.
4 A female employee was cited for shoplifting $245 worth of merchandise by changing prices on items for her son and another customer at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave., at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 10.
5 Police received a report that a man shoplifted over $2,600 worth of men’s winter coats at TJ Maxx, 8571 S. Howell Ave., at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 11. The man walked into the store, selected three to five coats and walked out with them on six separate occasions.
6 A 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the Ryan Road park-and-ride lot, 1450 W. Ryan Road, between 7:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 12. The vehicle is valued at $15,000.
7 About $130 worth of insulation and house wrap were stolen from the front yard of a residence in the 3700 block of East Becker Road prior to 10:40 a.m. Jan. 13.
8 A man shoplifted a $349 Milwaukee hammer drill at Blain's Farm & Fleet, 501 W. Rawson Ave., at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 15. The suspect, a 5-foot 9-inch-tall Hispanic male, fled the lot in a red Chevy van.
9 Two women stole $1,500 worth of power tools at Blain's Farm & Fleet, 501 W. Rawson Ave., at about 4 p.m. Jan. 15. The women, described as two 5-foot 6-inch-tall black females weighing between 130 and 145 pounds, concealed the power tools while a 270-pound black male in a motorized scooter/shopping cart served as the lookout.
10 A delivered package containing a $150 Duvet was stolen in the 400 block of West Sunnyview Drive prior to 6:40 p.m. Jan. 16. The package was delivered to the home on Jan. 11, but never received by the resident.
11 An officer conducting a “knock and talk” at Motel 6, 1201 W. College Ave., cited a woman for possession of marijuana after he found three grams of THC in her room at about 10:45 p.m. Jan. 15. The officer searched the room after he heard her yell, “Do you have any more weed?” inside her room while he was standing in the hallway.
12 A 27-year-old Delafield woman was was cited for OWI, possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle, and an unsafe lane deviation after her vehicle drove off the roadway, struck several mailboxes, crashed into a ditch and ended up in the front yard of a residence in the 2200 block of West Oakwood Road at about 3 a.m. Jan. 14. Police found a vodka orange juice in a plastic cup in the center console of her vehicle. She was taken to the hospital for a fractured right arm and her passenger, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of a bloody nose and other injuries. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.16.
13 A woman was taken into custody for OWI in the 7800 block of South Howell Avenue at about 11:15 a.m. Jan. 15. A breath test indicated a preliminary BAC of 0.29.
14 Two women were taken to the hospital after their vehicle made a left turn on a flashing yellow light in the 100 block of East Forest Hill Avenue and crashed into an oncoming vehicle at about 4:45 p.m. Jan. 10. The driver of the turning vehicle was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.
15 A man was taken to the hospital for treatment of arm, neck and shoulder pain after his vehicle collided with a vehicle making a left turn from East Puetz Road onto South Howell Avenue at 7 p.m. Jan. 14. The driver of the turning vehicle was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
16 The rear driver’s side window on a vehicle was smashed in the 10200 block of South 12th Avenue between 2 p.m. Jan. 10 and 5:25 p.m. Jan. 11. Damage estimate is $350.
17 A male was cited for vandalism for punching out the front driver’s side window of a vehicle in the 800 block of East Scenic Road at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 12. The suspect was allegedly mad at the vehicle owner because he believed he "snitched” on him for rummaging through unlocked vehicles in Greenfield about a month ago. Damage estimate is $300.
18 Police received a report that the driver’s side door window on a car was broken at Noodles & Company, 8609 S. Howell Ave., prior to 10:25 pm. Jan. 1. Damage estimate is $300.
19 A prostitution arrest at La Quinta, 6300 S. 13th St., turned into a high-speed police pursuit after a suspect fled in a minivan at about 10:05 p.m. Jan. 12. Police chased the suspect’s vehicle northbound on Interstate 94 at speeds up to 100 mph for about two miles until the pursuit was terminated due to heavy traffic. Officers took a woman into custody and cited her for prostitution/escort license required. Police are trying to locate the suspect, who has been identified.
20 Two credit card skimmers were found on gas pumps at Mobil Gas, 9510 S. 27th St., at 3:15 p.m. Jan. 16. The manager stated the credit card skimmers were on pumps 4 and 10. According to management, the pumps had just been checked for skimmers at about 11 p.m. Jan. 15. Both skimmers were confiscated by police.
Oak Creek police assisted the fire department with 25 rescue calls between Jan. 10 and Jan. 16.
