Theft

1 Cash totaling $1,290 was stolen out of the safe at Sbarro Italian Eatery at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between Jan. 21 and Jan. 23.

2 A wallet containing three credit cards and $150 was stolen out of woman’s purse at Explorium Brewpub, 5300 S. 76th St., during the evening of Jan. 25. The victim later discovered someone tried to use her credit cards at a Target store.

3 A wallet containing three credit cards and $200 was stolen out of a woman’s purse while she was eating in the food court at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at 1:40 p.m. Jan. 26. The victim told police she was talking on her cellphone when the theft occurred.

4 Eight adults and four juveniles were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between Jan. 20 and Jan. 26.

OWI

5 A man was taken into custody and cited for OWI and an unsafe lane deviation on West College Avenue and West Loomis Road at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 20. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.13.

Other

6 A man was taken into custody after he caused a disturbance and started fighting with another person in the food court at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at about 8:45 p.m. Jan. 20. He was cited for disorderly conduct and underage drinking.
