1 A man who was responsible for multiple shoplifting incidents at local Pick ’n Saves was taken into custody after an alert police officer located the suspect’s vehicle in the parking lot at Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., at 6:05 p.m. Jan. 29. The man allegedly admitted stealing the items in order to sell them to stores on the north side of Milwaukee to support his heroin addiction. He was booked and transported to jail.
2 A $20 bill and a fleece blanket were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 10100 block of South Cindy Lane between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 1 and 11:50 a.m. Feb. 2.
3 A wallet containing $130 was stolen at PDQ, 6300 S. 27th St., after it was accidentally dropped on the ground prior to 2 p.m. Feb. 3. A suspect was seen picking up the wallet and putting it in his pocket on video surveillance.
4 A 2006 Ford Taurus, valued at $2,000, was stolen from the Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., between 1:30 p.m. Feb. 3 and 2:15 p.m. Feb. 4. The owner of the vehicle told police a friend stole her keys while they were in a room.
5 A man shoplifted two framing nailers, valued at $669, at Blain's Farm & Fleet, 501 W. Rawson Ave., at 1:10 p.m. Feb. 6. A suspect was identified through his license plate.
6 A man shoplifted $520 worth of liquor by concealing it inside his backpack and a duffel bag at Meijer, 171 W. Town Square Way, at about 6 a.m. Feb. 6.
7 A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/battery for punching his brother in the face two times in the 8600 block of South Fenway Court at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 29. According to the victim, the man was apparently upset about the amount of noise inside the home.
8 A man was cited for disorderly conduct for getting into a fight with another man in the parking lot at LaQuinta, 7141 S. 13th St., at about 7:25 a.m. Feb. 1. The man, who was taken to the hospital for treatment of a broken thumb, stated the fight broke out because he discovered his girlfriend was at the hotel with another man.
9 A man was taken into custody for domestic violence for allegedly slamming his wife against a wall in front of her children in the 8600 block of South Chicago Road at 7:55 a.m. Feb. 3.
10 A man was taken into custody in the 8400 block of South 15th Avenue at 9:15 p.m. Feb. 5 for allegedly hitting his wife in the face numerous times and then threatening to kill her with a knife if she contacted police. He is facing charges of battery, second degree recklessly endangering safety, and resisting/obstructing police.
11 A man was taken to the hospital after he overdosed on drugs while sitting on a toilet in the men’s restroom at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave., at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 2. The man was found, unconscious, and holding a lighter and an aluminum foil pipe. Police also found a pouch of synthetic marijuana in his possession, for which he was cited.
12 A 46-year-old Cudahy woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of arm pain after her vehicle collided with another vehicle at a four-way stop on South 15th and East Forest Hill avenues at 12:50 p.m. Feb. 2. Both drivers stated they stopped at the stop sign, and that the other driver did not stop. Due to their conflicting stories and no witnesses, no citations were issued.
13 An intoxicated man is facing a charge of disorderly conduct while armed for pulling out a folding knife and holding it to his friend’s throat in the 8500 block of South Chicago Road at 9 p.m. Feb. 3.
14 An intoxicated man who was being loud and disruptive after being evicted from Motel 6, 1201 W. College Ave., was taken into custody after he purposely poured a can of beer on a hallway carpet after police told him to leave the property at 4:35 a.m. Feb. 5. While in a booking room, the man exposed his penis and urinated on the floor, and he received a second citation for disorderly conduct. He was also cited for possession of alcohol by an underage adult.
Oak Creek police assisted the fire department with 23 rescue calls between Jan. 29 and Feb. 7.
