Police went to a residence in the 5500 block of South 92nd Street after a woman reported her husband hit and kicked her at about 4:45 a.m. Feb. 16. According to police, the woman, who was highly intoxicated, had no visible injuries and refused medical care. No arrests were made, and the case was sent to the district attorney’s office for review.
One person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision in the 10700 block of West Grange Avenue at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 14. The crash occurred when a vehicle traveling west on Grange Avenue struck a vehicle that was trying to make a U-turn onto Grange. The driver of the turning vehicle was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn, and the other driver was cited for driving without a valid license.
Police responded to the 10800 block of West Rockne Avenue to settle a dispute between an Uber driver and his passenger at 11:35 p.m. Feb. 14. The caller told police her Uber driver was yelling at her and her sister and refused to leave because her sister threw up in the back seat of his car. Officers mediated, the vomit was cleaned up and the driver was sent on his way.
