1 Five adults and three juveniles were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between Feb. 17 and Feb. 23.


2 A woman was taken into custody for second-offense OWI and was cited for driving with a suspended license at Speedway, 5490 S. 76th St., at 2:20 a.m. Feb. 21. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.18.


3 A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after an argument with his girlfriend turned physical in the 5700 block of Carnation Court at about 1:40 a.m. Feb. 18.

4 Emergency personnel went to a home in the 5900 block of Sugarbush Lane after a 911 caller reported her son had passed out and was unresponsive at about 4:15 a.m. Feb. 20. Police discovered the 25-year-old man overdosed on opiates, and he was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

5 A man was struck and injured by a white Chevy Malibu that was last seen headed south through the parking lot at Sears, 5200 S. 76th St., at 3:50 p.m. Feb. 23. The man, who complained of back and knee pain, told police his child’s mother was driving the vehicle. A felony warrant was issued for her arrest, and the case is being reviewed by the district attorney’s office.
