1 A purse containing credit cards, $40 and a wedding ring was taken from a home in the 3800 block of West Forest Hill Avenue between midnight and 12:30 a.m. March 23. The home was entered through an unlocked garage service door.
2 A 28-year-old woman was cited for shoplifting $100 worth of baby clothes at Salvation Army, 6341 S. 27th St., at 3:50 p.m. March 21.
3 Cash totaling $460 was stolen out of one backpack in the boy’s locker room and a Texas Instruments TI-84 calculator, valued at about $150, was stolen out of another backpack in the boy’s locker room at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., between 10:20 and 11 a.m. March 22.
4 A man reportedly shoplifted $872 worth of SD and other memory cards at Walgreens, 7130 S. 76th St., at about 4:10 p.m. March 22.
5 A laptop computer was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle at Sendik’s, 5200 W. Rawson Ave., between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. March 22.
6 A 25-year-old man who allegedly shoplifted an Apple TV device at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., was found hiding inside a trash bin behind Tires Plus and taken into custody at 1:40 p.m. March 23. He was cited for shoplifting and was taken into custody for having a warrant through the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department for two counts of shoplifting.
7 The tailgate off a 2010 black Ford F250 was stolen in a driveway in the 10100 block of South 76th Street between 1 p.m. March 24 and 10 a.m. March 26.
8 A 27-year-old man who was found passed out inside his vehicle at Whitnall Park Golf Course, 6751 S. 92nd St., was taken into custody into custody for possession of heroin at about 5:30 p.m. March 21.
9 A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody for possession of cocaine after the car she was riding in was pulled over in the 6400 block of South 27th Street at about 1:30 a.m. March 24. The driver, a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, a seat belt violation, no insurance, and a child safety seat/restraint violation for not having her 5-year-old child secured in a car seat.
10 A 28-year-old Cudahy man was taken into custody for third-offense OWI and a probation violation after his SUV was pulled over in the 6300 block of South 27th Street at about 1:30 a.m. March 25. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.186.
11 A 31-year-old Oak Creek man was taken into custody for second-offense OWI in the 2800 block of West Rawson Avenue at about 3 a.m. March 25. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.
12 A man who started a pile of construction materials on fire at Deck Lighting Unlimited, 1113 W. Forest Home Ave., and then left the fire unattended was cited for multiple burning violations at about 12:35 p.m. March 23.
13 Police went to Walmart, 7601 S. 27th St., after a manager reported an incoherent male customer inside the store was asking people for cigarettes, falling asleep and eating a box of sugar at 2 a.m. March 22. After he was taken to the hospital for evaluation, police took the 60-year-old Milwaukee man into custody for having warrant through the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department for vandalism.
14 Police responded to a home in the 4100 block of West Southwood Drive after a woman reported her ex-husband spray painted a derogatory word on her vehicle at 12:10 p.m. March 25. He was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct.
