1 An iPhone 6 was stolen from a shopper at Bed Bath & Beyond, 5445 S. 76th St., at about 7:30 p.m. March 22.

2 A 2012 red Dodge Journey was stolen out of the food court parking lot at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., prior to 9:50 p.m. March 22. The driver told police she lost her vehicle keys while shopping at the mall, and when she went out to check on her vehicle it was gone. Police reviewed surveillance footage which showed the alarm on the vehicle went off at about 8 p.m.

3 Five adults were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between March 17 and March 23.

Drug possession

4 A man was cited for possession of marijuana after he was taken into custody for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at 5:35 p.m. March 18.

5 A man and a woman were taken into custody for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after they were found lying inside their vehicle in the parking lot at Slugger’s Indoor Batting Cages LLC, 7030 Industrial Loop, at 5:45 p.m. March 19. The manager called police and stated the two “seemed to be high on something" after they wandered into the business. The man was also taken into custody for a probation/parole violation


6 Police went to Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., after a caller reported that a teenager was panhandling and causing a disturbance by yelling in the southeast parking lot at 9:15 p.m. March 17. Officers had to deploy a Taser to take the teenager into custody. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

7 A man who was standing in line to purchase merchandise at Walmart, 5301 S. 76th St., exposed his erect penis to the female cashier when he was checking out at the register at about 3 p.m. March 18. The suspect, described as a heavy-set white male in his mid- to late-50s with a gray beard and glasses, left the parking lot in a newer model, white four-door Toyota Corolla.
