1 A catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle parked at Pick ’n Save, 6462 S. 27th St., between 2 and 9 p.m. March 26. Damage is estimated at $1,400.

2 A female student is facing a state charge of theft for stealing money from the girl’s locker room at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 12:15 p.m. March 30.

3 A wallet, make-up and a set of car keys were stolen out of a patron’s purse at Bootz Saloon and Grill, 8950 S. 27th St., prior to 1:35 a.m. April 2.

4 A man and a woman shoplifted about $400 worth of groceries at Woodman’s, 8131 S. Howell Ave., at about 3:20 p.m. April 2.

5 Two girls were cited for shoplifting after they were seen concealing a total of $298 worth of handbags and cosmetics at Kohl’s, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at about 3 p.m. April 3.


6 A male student was taken into custody and is facing possible charges of fourth-degree sexual assault for allegedly touching/grabbing a female student at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 6:30 p.m. April 1. According to police, the victim stated the boy touched her right inner thigh while saying inappropriate comments towards her, and when she told him to stop touching her he put his hand on her right breast.

7 A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/battery for yelling at his wife, chasing her around with a scissors and slapping her in the chest in the 2100 block of East Ash Court at about 11:05 p.m. April 2.


8 A 39-year-old Sturtevant man was taken into custody for fourth-offense OWI after his car drove off the road and struck a pole in the 200 block of East Oakwood Road at about 9:15 a.m. March 30. The man walked away from his wrecked vehicle, but a K-9 unit found him hiding in a back porch area of a nearby home.

9 A 61-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for third-offense OWI after his vehicle rear-ended a vehicle that had stopped for a red light on South 13th Street and West Ryan Road at about 10:35 p.m. March 31. He failed field sobriety tests, and a breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.19.

10 A 21-year-old West Allis woman was taken into custody for OWI after she drove her vehicle off the roadway and into a ditch in the 1300 block of East Forest Hill Avenue at about 12:55 a.m. April 1. She was transported to the hospital, where she consented to a blood draw. She was also cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after two glass pipes with residue, a pink grinder and 3.9 grams of THC were found in her vehicle.

11 A 30-year-old woman whose vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree in the 6600 block of South 20th Street was taken into custody for OWI after police noticed she had red, glassy eyes, slurred speech and vomit all over her pants at about 4:10 a.m. April 1. A breath test indicated a preliminary BAC of 0.15.


12 A 37-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of shoulder, head and back pain after she ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle on South Sixth Street and West Drexel Avenue at 8:05 a.m. April 3. She was later cited for a red light violation.


13 A rock was thrown through a window at Microbial Discovery Group, 7420 S. Howell Ave., between March 17 and March 24. Damage is estimated at $500.

14 Two tires were slashed on a vehicle in the 8500 block of South Chicago Road between 1 a.m. and noon March 28. Damage is estimated at $300.

15 A brick was thrown through a window at the Miller Park Pavilion, 315 E. Groveland Drive, between March 28 and 7:50 a.m. March 29. Damage is estimated at $300.


16 A man who called police to request a welfare check on his children in the 8600 block of South Chicago Road was cited for striking an officer with his car door when he was told he had multiple warrants in Kenosha County at about 7:30 p.m. March 28.

17 Emergency personnel responded to a report of a man who passed out and not breathing in the 7300 block of South Logan Avenue at 1:35 a.m. March 29. An officer performed CPR and a paramedic administered Narcan, and he was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Police found a cooking tin in the bathroom where the man was found, and a needle and white powdery substance were found in his possession in the emergency room. The man, who was on parole for bail jumping and burglary when he overdosed, tried to escape the hospital before being released to police. A K-9 unit searched the area around the hospital and found him hiding inside a walk-in cooler at the rear of the building, where he was taken into custody.

18 Police responded to Aim Transfer, 7774 S. 10th St., after an ex-employee came in with a 18-inch metal pipe and threatened to kill a female employee at about 9:30 a.m. March 29. He is facing charges of disorderly conduct while armed and threats to injure.

19 A man was cited for disorderly conduct and vandalism for following a woman and pushing her while she was walking in the 200 block of West Forest Hill Avenue, and then taking her cellphone and smashing it on the ground at about 5:15 p.m. March 29.

20 Police pursued a speeding, gray Acura that refused to pull over for a traffic stop after a caller reported it was driving on a flat tire and without headlamps when it exited the freeway via the Rawson Avenue off-ramp in the 7100 block of Interstate 94 at about 12:40 a.m. April 1. The vehicle hit speeds of 100 mph, ran a red light, and almost struck another vehicle. Police terminated the pursuit after about 2.5 miles. About 40 minutes later police learned the vehicle crashed near Franksville. The female driver told police she didn’t stop for police because she was scared and her friend told her not to stop. Caledonia police took her into custody for OWI, possession of THC and cocaine, and she is also facing felony charges of fleeing/eluding police in Oak Creek.

Oak Creek police assisted the fire department with 24 rescue calls and two fire calls between March 28 and April 3.
