1 Two cellphones were shoplifted at Sam’s Club, 6705 S. 27th St., prior to 1 p.m. April 10.

2 A man took a smoker off the floor at Lowe’s, 7027 S. 27th St., and used an old receipt from the Wauwatosa Lowe’s to return it for $368 cash at about 1:45 p.m. April 10.

3 A 47-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., at about 2:10 p.m. April 12.

4 Red Bull energy drinks worth $538 were shoplifted $538 at Pick ’n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, at about 6:15 p.m. April 12.

5 A gold and diamond wedding band, valued at $1,300, was stolen from a residence in the 7400 block of South Riverview Road between 5 p.m. April 10 and 6:50 a.m. April 13.

6 A package containing a $168 KitchenAid mixer was stolen off the porch of a residence in the 3900 block of West College Avenue between 4:20 and 4:25 p.m. April 14.


7 A 38-year-old man was taken into custody for domestic violence/battery for hitting his girlfriend in the face in the 6800 block of West Kathleen Court at about 4 a.m. April 15.


8 A 26-year-old Greenfield man was taken into custody for third-offense OWI on South Countryside Drive and West Madison Boulevard at 1:25 a.m. April 15. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.09.


9 A 26-year-old Franklin man was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle for allegedly grabbing his mother’s arm and stealing money out of her hand, and then driving off in her vehicle without permission at about 1:40 a.m. April 11.

10 Police received a report that a man drove a burgundy Ford Explorer into a driveway in the 10600 block of West Church Street, and started walking towards a woman's garage while one of her children was sitting inside her vehicle and the other was riding a scooter next to her car at about 6:50 a.m. April 12. The man, described as a 5-foot, 10-inch-tall white male in his 20s with a big nose and dirty blonde hair in a ponytail, took a car booster seat out of his backseat and placed it in his front passenger seat, and was walking toward the garage when the resident walked out of her house. When the man saw the resident he stopped, got back in his SUV and left. A special patrol watch was requested in the area.

11 A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct for yelling and cursing at several people outside their residence in the 3100 block of West Drexel Avenue at 8:15 p.m. April 12.

12 A 49-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and shoplifting for taking two cans of Ultra Duster at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., and then huffing the cans at a nearby bus stop at about 1:35 p.m. April 17.

Franklin police assisted the fire department with two rescue calls between April 10 and April 17.
