1 Chiropractic Care Center and Sole Serenity Yoga, 9735 and 9733 W. St. Martins Road, was broken into between 7 p.m. April 18 and 8:40 a.m. April 19. A bag containing about $28 in petty cash was stolen from the yoga studio, but nothing was reported stolen from the chiropractic office. A heavy metal object was thrown through doors at both businesses.


2 A debit card was stolen out of a residential mailbox in the 10500 block of South 124th Street between noon April 17 and 7:30 a.m. April 18.

3 A man attempted to shoplift $448 worth of energy drinks at Pick ’n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, but left the cart behind when the confronted by the manager at about 1:20 p.m. April 18. The suspect, a white male in his 40s with reddish blonde hair, a sling on one arm and a foot brace on his left foot, fled the lot in a white Dodge SUV.

4 A catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle at Hobby Lobby, 6803 S. 27th St., between 5:45 and 7:30 p.m. April 18. Damage is estimated at $2,400.

5 A bag containing multiple prescription medications was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 7700 block of South Scepter Drive between 11 and 11:10 a.m. April 19.

6 A $500 set of Callaway golf irons, a brand new $600 set of Tommy Armour golf clubs, a $500 Samsung theater system, a sound bar and a Blu-ray player were stolen from a home in the 6700 block of South 50th Street prior to 7:10 p.m. April 21. A suspect, a 24-year-old man, allegedly admitted stealing the items and has been ordered in to the district attorney’s office for charging.

7 A man shoplifted two curling irons, valued at $165, at Sally Beauty Supply, 7700 S. Lovers Lane Road, and fled the lot in an older model, four-door vehicle with no license plates at 5:45 p.m. April 22.

8 An unlocked 2005 Chevy Impala was stolen in the 6800 block of West Kathleen Court between 6:30 and 9:35 p.m. April 23. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department later found the car in a retention pond in Wauwatosa.

Drug possession

9 A 34-year-old man who suffered an overdose in the 6300 block of South 35th Street was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of heroin, illegal possession of prescription drugs and a probation/parole violation at about 3:30 a.m. April 23. After being evaluated and treated at the hospital he was taken to jail.


10 A 24-year-old West Allis woman was taken into custody for OWI after she crashed her 2004 Mercedes Benz into a light pole on West Rawson Avenue and South 68th Street at about 10:35 p.m. April 22. She was also cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control, non-registration of a vehicle, possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle, no insurance and a seat belt violation. She refused chemical breath testing and was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.


11 A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct for threatening another person while waiting for the bus at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 1:05 p.m. April 20.

12 A 63-year-old woman was taken into custody for disorderly conduct for trying to hit people with a broom and spitting on employees at the Matt Talbot group home, 9132 S. 92nd St., at about 3 p.m. April 20.
