1 A male employee who made a fraudulent gift card transaction was taken into custody and cited for theft by fraud at Sears, 5200 S. 76th St., at 3:15 p.m. April 22.
2 A woman was taken into custody and cited for shoplifting after she was seen using a razor blade to cut packaging off merchandise at Walmart, 5301 S. 76th St., at 12:25 p.m. April 24.
3 Six adults and one juvenile were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between April 21 and April 27.
4 A man who allegedly threw paint on items and damaged property inside his mother’s home in the 6100 block of South 60th Street was taken into custody for domestic violence/criminal damage to property at about 7 a.m. April 21.
5 A man was taken into custody and cited for using inhalants in public after police received a report that he was huffing by the bus stop near the west side parking lot entrance at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at 3:45 p.m. April 24. The man was found on the county bus.
6 A resident reported finding a man sleeping inside the family's vehicle in their driveway in the 9100 block of Thorncrest Drive at 7:20 a.m. April 25. The caller told police they did not know the man, or how he got there. He was taken into custody for trespassing and was ordered into the district attorney’s office to face a possible charge of possessing illegally obtained prescription drugs.
