Theft

1 A 2016 black Diamondback Edgewood Complete Hybrid Bike, valued at $350, was stolen from a bike rack in the 6800 block of Southway between 7 and 10 p.m. May 10. Surveillance footage showed a woman taking the unlocked bicycle off the bike rack, placing it in her vehicle and driving off.

2 Four adults were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between May 6 and May 12.

Assault

3 A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after a physical altercation with his wife in the 4500 block of West Ramsey Avenue at 10:30 p.m. May 7.

OWI

4 A man was taken into custody for OWI on West Ramsey Avenue and South 51st Street at 1:05 a.m. May 6. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.14.

5 A male who lost control of his vehicle, drove onto the grass, struck a curb and crashed into a pedestrian crossing sign on Southway and Sherwood Road was taken into custody and cited for an absolute sobriety violation at 1:10 a.m. May 6. A male passenger in his car was taken into custody for a probation violation, and two female passengers were questioned and released.

6 A man who was cited for speeding and driving with no headlamps at night in the 5000 block of West Ramsey Avenue was taken into custody for OWI at 2:10 a.m. May 8. He was also cited for no proof of insurance and failing to obey a sign.

Other

7 Emergency personnel went to Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., after a 911 caller reported a man collapsed outside the food court doors at about 1:50 p.m. May 12. The caller performed CPR until medical help, but the man did not survive. Police did not release any additional information.
