OAK CREEK - An argument between a tow truck driver and a woman whose vehicle he was towing ended with citations after the two exchanged punches in an Oak Creek apartment complex parking lot on Saturday, July 1.

The squabble at the Brandywood Apartments, 8900 S. Wood Creek Drive, started shortly after 9 p.m., when the woman took the keys out of the tow truck and refused to give them back to the driver.

A shouting and shoving match ensued, and the woman grabbed her cellphone and started taking pictures of the driver. When the woman put her cell phone in the tow truck driver’s face, he slapped the cell phone out of her hands.

She responded by pushing or punching him in the face, and he responded by punching her in the jaw.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment of a possible broken jaw, and the driver was taken into custody for battery.

When police later learned the woman’s jaw was not fractured, both the driver and the woman were cited for disorderly conduct.
