Burglary

A small wooden jewelry box containing some costume jewelry and a cufflink collection was reported stolen from a locked residence in the 8600 block of Westlake Drive at 4:35 p.m. Aug. 3. The front door was pried open, forcing the deadbolt lock to fail.

Theft

Police received a report that a man stole his mother’s debit card from her residence in the 6000 block of Trail Ridge Court and used it to withdraw $509 from her account at 2:35 p.m. July 31.

Four adults were cited for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S 76th St., between July 28 and Aug. 3.  

Drug possession

A male was taken to the hospital after he overdosed on drugs in the 5500 block of Rainbow Drive at about 5:35 a.m. Aug. 3. He was later cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription medication without a prescription and underage possession of tobacco.

OWI

A woman was taken into custody for OWI and cited for an unsafe lane deviation on Gardenway and West Grange Avenue at 8:35 p.m. Aug. 30. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.10.

Other

Two females tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at Bed Bath & Beyond, 5445 S. 76th St., at about 4:30 p.m. The women did not get any merchandise or change and left without the fake bill.
