Several veterans from South Now's communities will fly in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Sunday, May 21. 

The flight will take off early Sunday morning, bound for Washington D.C., where the veterans will spend the day touring the capital. A water canon salute on the runway will send off the men and women who have served the country. 

The following local veterans will be participating in the honor flight:

Arnold Heling from Franklin, who served in the Army during the Korean war

Jerry Lenway from Franklin, who served in the Marines during the Korean War

Bob Muehlenberg from Franklin, who served in the Navy during World War II

Bob Dustin from Greendale, who served in the Army during the Korean War

Gerry Hollweck from Oak Creek, who served in the Air Force during the  Korean War
