Rochelle Pennington, newspaper columnist and author, will present "The Hidden History of Dickens' A Christmas Carol" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the Fadrow Room at the Franklin Public Library, 9151 W. Loomis Rd.
In the program, Pennington will take a close-up look at England's most celebrated Victorian novelist and explore the hidden history behind his classic Christmas story, particularly looking at the influence of the main characters of "A Christmas Carol": Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, and the three ghosts.
Pennington is an award-winning newspaper columnist and the bestselling author of ten books including "Highlighted in Yellow," "The Historic Christmas Tree Ship," and "An Old-Fashioned Christmas."
