Wehr Nature Center will host a Winter Wonderland Walk from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, through the trails of the nature center, 9701 College Ave in Whitnall Park, Franklin.
A Wehr Nature Center naturalist will lead groups of families through the trails, where they will discover the ways plants and wildlife adapt to thrive in Wisconsin's harsh winters. After the walk, participants will gather near the warm fireplace to drink hot chocolate.
The walk is open to everyone age 6 and older. The fee for the program is $7 for residents of Milwaukee County, $10 for non-residents, and $5 for members of Friends of Wehr. Registration is required by Tuesday, Dec. 27.
Parking is $3 per car.
