Both chili chefs and taste-testers alike are invited to the Franklin Public Library's Chili Cook-Off from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 at the library, 9151 W. Loomis Road.
To submit a chili for judging, cooks can register in-person or call the library at 414-425-8214. There will be four categories of competition: grades 3-6, grades 7-12, family, or adult.
Winners in each category will win a gift card to a local restaurant. Each champion will be determined by public vote for the tastiest chili and be announced at the event.
Anyone is welcome to be a chili sampler and vote on their favorite chili. During the event, attendees can also enjoy crafts, board games, and video games.
Both participation in the chili-making contest and tasting are free and open to the public, and no residency is required.
For more information about the cook-off, contact teen librarian Keri Whitmore at 414-427-7642 or Keri.Miller@mcfls.org.
