Franklin — Franklin Public School's Board of Education is looking to fill a vacant seat on the board, previously held by Meenakshi Ghosh.
Ghosh notified the board of her resignation Dec. 15, saying that she was relocating. Ghosh's term was for three years, starting in April 2016.
The board will appoint a new member to fill Gosh's seat until the April 2018 election, as per board policy.
To be considered for the vacant seat, qualified individuals should file a declaration of interest with Superintendent Steve Patz by 5 p.m. Jan. 26. Those interested may also provide further written documentation in support of their candidacy in conjunction with filing the declaration of interest.
At a special meeting scheduled for Jan. 30, the board will interview candidates and later make their selection.
Declarations can be submitted to Patz at 8255 West Forest Hill Avenue or by email at email@example.com.
