FRANKLIN - The House of Prayer Church in Franklin, 3900 W Ryan Road, was vandalized for the second time this month at about 10:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.
More windows were broken, and it appears that a vandal once again used a sledgehammer, according to video footage from security cameras the church installed after the first incident. Once again, it did not appear that anyone entered the building.
According to Franklin Police Capt. Jospeh Spak, the damage from this round of vandalism is estimated at about $3,000, making the incident a felony.
The church previously had an office window, a stained glass window, and front doors damaged sometime during the night of Feb. 6.
According to the Rev. Myron Deschaine, the damage caused from the two incidents will cost the church "a substantial amount of money."
The church has turned the security camera footage over to police, and investigators currently are examining the video. At this point, the department has a rough description of the suspect, who appears to be a male wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants and a white hat.
