Hermle Machine Co. is looking to provide apprenticeship programs with a focus on industrial maintenance to local companies through the ICATT program, and will host a networking event and information session on the program from 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, March 2 at Hermle's North American Headquarters in Franklin, 5100 W Franklin Drive.
Along with the German American Chamber of Commerce, Hermle will show companies how to get involved in this workforce strategy. Participating ICATT companies will share their ICATT experience and be presented with a chance to meet current apprentices.
"This program is a good opportunity for all companies, no matter where they are located. An apprenticeship program in general gives participating companies the opportunity to shape their own workforce in an early age and at a relatively low cost. This will then lead to an competitive advantage over other companies that don’t participate," said Manuel Merkt, Vice President of Hermle Machine Co.
Representatives from local manufacturing and industrial companies are highly encouraged to attend. To register, or for more information, visit www.gaccwi.com/events/upcoming-events/wisconsin-icatt-event/.
