FRANKLIN - Superintendent Steve Patz will retire from his position at Franklin Public Schools (FPS) at the end of the school year after serving the district for nearly a decade.

Patz started his job as the top administrator of the district on Monday, July 2, 2007. During his time at FPS, he has guided the district through two successful referendums, renovation of the high school, and a new college and career readiness curriculum.

Prior to his job at Franklin, he had worked in education as an assistant superintendent, superintendent, assistant principal, principal, athletic director, teacher, coach, and adjunct professor at the college level, serving in various posts in both Texas and Wisconsin.
