GREENDALE - Southridge Mall will be welcoming the Easter Bunny starting St. Patrick's Day, March 17.
The bunny will be in his "veggie patch" on the lower level in the central court until April 15, according to a news release from the mall.
Families can make an appointment to see the Easter Bunny through the "Bunny by Appointment" option allowing parents to reserve a time for their children at https://southridgemall.fullslate.com. Those visiting the Bunny Photo Experience will receive an activity sheet, a custom holiday headband, and can watch highlights from the movie, "Sing."
“We love to hold family-friendly events and look forward to providing a fun space for children to interact with the Easter Bunny,” said Cheryl Rouse, director of marketing and business development at Southridge Mall.
Additionally, the mall's Caring Bunny event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., April 2 and will offer children with special needs "a subdued environment to participate in the Bunny Photo Experience," according to the release. It states many steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers and create a comfortable environment.
Spots for the Caring Bunny event can also be reserved online through Eventbrite.
Finally, Southridge Mall's Pet Photo Night with the Bunny will be held from 6-8 p.m., April 9.
The 2017 Bunny Photo Experience is being presented by The Gymboree Corporation and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Autism Speaks has provided promotional assistance for the Caring Bunny event.
