The Greendale Public Library, 5647 Broad St., is holding a Train Day event from 10 a.m to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20.

The event features a number of train-themed activities such as games, crafts, puzzles, tattoos, giveaways, movies and more.

Additionally, four large Lionel model train arrangements will be available for children to control, a quiet raffle for a train quilt is planned, and a special edible train craft will be offered where kids can make a train and then eat it.

The East Troy Railroad Museum will be making a presentation on the history of trains and streetcars. The Milwaukee Lionel Railroad Club is providing train layouts.

Also, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the Milwaukee Art Museum will present Kohl's Color Wheels with drop-in art for families.
