A selection of artist Gwen Granzow's vibrant, abstract acrylic paintings are now on display in the Garden House at Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive, Hales Corners.

Granzow's work will available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week until Dec. 30. No admission will be charged for entrance to the exhibit or the botanical gardens. The gardens will be open daily until the first snowfall.

According to a press release, some of Granzow's works are "influenced by landscapes and natural elements (and) most have an explosive energy." Her paintings are characterized by layers of shapes, textures, and colors that give the paintings' surface a "dimensional quality."

Granzow has worked as a creative director for a branding firm for over 20 years and has lectured at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, the University of Wisconsin, Cardinal Stritch University, and Alverno College. Her work has also been on display throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
