The Alyson Dudek International Ice Rink is scheduled to open for winter skating on Thursday, Dec. 15, in Hales Corners Park, 5675 S. New Berlin Road.
The Hales Corners Fire Department began filling the ice rink Monday, Dec. 12. Weather permitting, this means the rink will be open Thursday for the winter season.
Skating is open during park hours, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. There is no fee to use the rink, though skaters need to bring their own ice skates.
The ice skating rink is named after Hales Corners resident Alyson Dudek, a 2010 Olympic bronze medalist in the short-track speed skating relay and member of the 2014 U.S. Winter Olympic team.
