Pick 'n Save has announced that it will remodel 24 stores in the Milwaukee area over the next 12 to 18 months.
Remodels have already begun at locations in Hales Corners, Sussex, East Milwaukee, West Bend, and Waukesha. However, Pick 'n Save has not publicly released the names of all 24 locations, so customers will likely notice remodels starting at other locations, as well.
"We want to provide our customers with a better, more enhanced shopping experience," Roundy's vice president of corporate communications and public affairs James Hyland said of the remodels.
The stores will remain open during the refurbishments.
According to Hyland, the remodels will include expanded natural and organic offerings, expanded deli and fresh foods, and take-home or "grab and go" options.
Specifically at the Hales Corners location, these expanded offerings will include sushi, an upgraded salad bar, expanded adult beverage offerings, a gourmet cheese area, a dining and seating area, a new olive bar, an updated pharmacy area, and more.
At some other stores, added offerings will also include sushi, Asian foods, salad bar offerings, beer and wine, and an improved self-checkout.
These remodels are coming after Roundy's, Pick 'n Save's corporate company, was purchased by Kroger in 2016. Since the merger, Pick 'n Save has added over 4,500 items to their Wisconsin stores, many of which are natural or organic items.
Outside the Milwaukee area, Pick 'n Save will also have between 15 and 20 minor scale remodels at other locations.
