Oak Creek — Have you seen one of these T-Rexes? Whoever is inside could end up on "America's Funniest Home Videos."
Oak Creek mother Alison Carlson is on a hunt for a Tyrannosaurus Rex – or rather, a child who wore a T-Rex costume for Halloween 2016. Her son wore an identical costume and the two were filmed playfully “fighting” – until, at one point, one of the dinosaurs runs off with the other’s bag of candy.
“She was laughing hysterically at what happened,” Carlson said of the neighbor who shot the video.
The video – filmed sometime between 5 and 7 p.m. Oct. 31 near 13th Street and Drexel Avenue – was submitted to the TV show "America’s Funniest Home Videos." Carlson said she was recently contacted and the video is under consideration to run on the show.
Both Carlson and the neighbor who shot the video had to sign consent forms. "AFV" has also requested the family of the other T-Rex be contacted for consent.
For that reason, Carlson has embarked on this T-Rex hunt, posting on social media to find out if anyone could identify the other costumed kid. The costume is not common, so she said she has high hopes someone will be able to point her in the right direction.
“Maybe it not being a Disney princess we could nail it down,” she said. “The other child plays a main role in making it funny.”
The costume is similar to ones seen on social media, typically in stunts in which a T-Rex performs various activities such as bouncing on a trampoline and running an obstacle course.
Carlson said anyone knows who the other dinosaur might be can contact her via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
