OAK CREEK - Plans for the Ikea development have changed slightly due to wetlands on the property.
A slight reduction in parking spaces, as well as the addition of two small stormwater ponds, are the main extent of the changes for the proposed retail store set to be built near Drexel Avenue and Interstate 94, according to City Planner Kari Papelbon.
Debby Tomczyk, an attorney at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren representing Ikea at the Feb. 28 plan commission meeting, said the building also shifted slightly west and more landscaping has been added.
According to Papelbon, plans were originally submitted in July 2016.
The plan commission approved the changes unanimously.
