A cat was rescued pulled from the rubble days after a horrific earthquake in Italy.

A lucky cat was pulled from the rubble of the Italian town of Amatrice almost a week after a powerful earthquake toppled homes and killed almost 300 people.

In the days following the Aug. 24 quake, the cat’s owner, Daniela Tursini begged fire officials to look for her cat Joy, saying the cat was all she had left, the Telegraph reported.

“I beg you, find my cat,” Tursini told officials, the Telegraph reported. “My house has gone, I’ve lost everything.”

On Monday, as rescue officials were combing through the city with bulldozers to move rubble, they spotted something, Italy’s Republic reported.

It was Joy, a white and gray cat, who was severely dehydrated, but alive.

In a video of the rescue, firefighters help Joy eagerly drink from a bottle of water.

Construction 'on the cheap' may have cost lives in Italy earthquake

Since the quake, dozens of animals have been rescued, but Joy was trapped for much longer and survived.
