Claudia Kirkpatrick won two individual events and served on a winning 200-yard freestyle relay as Greenfield/Milwaukee Pius emerged victorious in the Woodland Conference swimming and diving meet at Greenfield on Oct. 29.

Kirkpatrick won the 100-yard freestyle by a tenth of a second over Julia Larson of Wauwatosa West, hitting the wall in 55.06 seconds. She added a win in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.07) by more than two seconds.

Madison Misko, who anchored the 200 free relay, landed first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.58 seconds. Misko’s fellow sophomores, Kristianna Mijovic and Lily Lustig, also were on board, swimming in 1:44.61.

Greenfield/Pius scored 391.5 points, with Shorewood (375) the only other contender for the crown. Whitnall placed fourth (249), and Greendale landed in eighth (136) among 12 schools.

Lustig took second in the 200 free in 1:59.80 and added a second in the 500 free with her time of 5:18.06.

Other top finishers for Greenfield/Pius included the third-place medley relay unit of Elizabeth Misorski, Kirkpatrick, Alyssas Hassel and Mijovic (1:55.49). Misko took third in the 100 free in 55.41.

For Whitnall, Nicole Beckman won the 200-yard individual medley with a swim of 2:15.18 and grabbed second in the butterfly with a time of 58.67.

Brooke Miles, Kelly McElvain, Nicole Beckman and Katelyn Bloomer swam second in the medley relay (1:53.81), and the same foursome placed second in the 400 free relay at 3:52.28.

Miles added a second place in the backstroke at 1:01.10, and McElvain took third in the 500 free (5:30.02). Alyssa Doherty took second in diving with a score of 448.00.

Greendale’s Hannah Kujawa took second in the 50 free (25.75). She also placed seventh in the 100 free.
