Brendan McKay was already the only two-time winner of one of college baseball's most prestigious individual awards.

On Monday, the Louisville star became the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award's only three-time winner.

McKay, a junior who is U of L's ace starting pitcher and power-hitting first baseman, added the latest honor to a growing list that already includes two national player of the year awards. He was also named the Atlantic Coast Conference's player of the year.

A Pennsylvania native, McKay is 10-3 with a 2.34 earned-run average as a pitcher, and he is batting .343 with 17 home runs and 56 runs batted in.

McKay helped Louisville reach its fourth College World Series since 2007 this weekend, with the Cards sweeping a best-of-three series against archrival Kentucky.

He is expected to be one of the top picks in Monday night's Major League Baseball draft.
