parents to meet April 25

A Franklin baseball parents meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the high school library.

The parents-only meeting will provide information regarding the baseball program, and parents of baseball candidates are urged to attend.

Dance to benefit Franklin baseball set for April 23

The 16th annual 'Batter-Up' dance sponsored by Franklin High School baseball will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, April 23, at Root River Center, 7220 W. Rawson Ave.

Proceeds from the dance, which features raffles and a silent auction, benefit Franklin baseball. Tickets are $10, including beverages and snacks, and can be purchased from baseball parents, at the high school athletic office or at the door.

Participants must be at least 21 years old, and alumni players and parents are welcome to attend.

Whitnall athletes sign

with colleges

Some Whitnall High School athletes have committed to colleges for next season.

They include Cade Dombrowski, who will play soccer at Marquette University; Madeleine Cieszynski, who will swim and dive for Southern Illinois; Kendall Stribling, who will play volleyball for Concordia University of Wisconsin; and JT Reed, who will play baseball for the College of Lake County.
