Paul Pierce has one more season left in the tank.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul Pierce (34) reacts after making a shot against the New York Knicks.

The 10-time NBA All-Star announced via the Players Tribune on Monday that he plans to retire after the 2016-17 season, his 19th in the league.

"This is it, my final season," Pierce wrote. "It’s time to move on from the game of basketball. Just like any difficult decision, I think you’ve got to be at peace with yourself. I’m at peace with retiring, but I’ve got one more ride left. One more season. One more opportunity."

Passion, intensity defined Kevin Garnett's game

The 2008 NBA Champion and Finals MVP has averaged 20.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per-game in his 18-year career thus far. Pierce spent 15 years with the Boston Celtics before playing for Brooklyn, Washington and the L.A. Clippers over the last three years.
