Steph Curry on MVP chatter: I try to stay away from 'Twitter wars'

Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry weighed in on the ever-interesting MVP race and then did his best to tip-toe out of the conversation.

Asked recently who his MVP would be, and Curry offered up Houston Rockets guard James Harden, who's chasing marks only ever reached by Oscar Robertson. 

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, another guard chasing Robertson, didn't care much for Curry's opinion. "Who's he?" Westbrook asked at a recent shootaround.

Curry, who's won the award in back-to-back seasons, did his best to squash any brewing animosity between himself and Westbrook.

"You ask anybody, and they'll have an opinion on who they think," Curry said. "Whether they agree with it or not, it's not obviously my decision. I try to stay away from those Twitter, social media, interview wars. Doesn't do anything for me. Say what I think and keep it moving."

The playoffs are around the corner when, rest assured, all these mini-spats will be revisited.
