Houston Texans now wait to see which team they play next in playoffs

The Houston Texans, the No. 4 seed on the AFC playoffs, will not know which team they play in the divisional round next weekend until after Sunday’s Miami Dolphins-Pittsburgh Steelers game.

If No. 3 seed Pittsburgh  wins Sunday:

The Texans would play at No. 1 seed New England Patriots next Saturday night.

(The Steelers would play at No. 2 seed Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.)

If No. 6 seed Miami wins Sunday:

The Texans would play at Kansas City next Sunday.

(The Dolphins would play at New England next Saturday night)

The NFL playoffs re-seed after the wild-card round so the lowest remaining seed plays the highest seed.
